ABOUT
OUR
Organisation
St Francis motto "The only way to save a 100 cats is to just sterilize one!"
One unsterilized female will have 25 kittens in one year
All kittens male/female must be sterilized at 6 months.
St Francis Carers is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of abandoned and abused feral cats. Our team is committed to providing essential care, support, and advocacy for these vulnerable animals. We believe that every cat deserves love, compassion, and a chance for a better life.
St Francis Motto "The only way to save a 100 cats is to just sterilize one!"
For more than 12 years Rose Magic,Pauline Tribe and Sherryl Bradfield have given their time, love and financial resources to take care of 100 feral cats along the Durban beachfront and inside the Suncoast Casino area.
Their day starts at 4am and they aim to finish at 7.30am before they go off to their actual jobs.
Each cat is given a name and is fed and loved every morning 365 days a year including Christmas day.
All the cats in the colonies have been sterilized,so the colonies cannot grow themselves but unfortunately people continue to dump more cats and kittens.
So why do we do this?"We believe we have to give back in this world. We cannot go through life being self involved while animals and others are suffering.
